The Christmas fair was a huge success raising £2215. Thank you to all the helpers, parents and supporters that made the Christmas fair possible. The quick date change let the PTA with lots of cakes for 8 December and the excellent impromptu cake sale raised £110 (huge thanks to team Barnett for hosting; Ali for saving the day with a gazebo; suzie and Katy for their face painting; and all the superb bakers for their baked treats.
The main event on 12 Dec was hectic but worked well thanks to all the helpers who gave up their time helped to rearrange it all. Father Christmas luckily could rearrange and Elfridges was run during the week to make sure no one missed out.
There are a huge number of thanks to give out. Special thanks must go to all the local businesses and community who so kindly contributed to the raffle. This helped us raise £800, from all your kind ticket purchases. Big thanks to all those who made it possible, finding, sourcing and donating prizes! Another special thanks to Dean Close and Jo Sheldon who were able to rearrange the Elf helpers from Elfridges to come in and help the kids wrap their gifts during the school day.
ThePTA has worked really hard to bring it all together with lots of people contributing great and small. THANK YOU to all you parents who gifted bottle donations, teddies, toys and their time. We know it's hard to balance all the commitments, but it's a wonderful moment to see community coming together to achieve a collective aim and festive cheer. We’re nearly finished for the term but not quite!
Thank you also for all the feedback on the funding returns. The PTA will aim to set out a combined school fundraising objective next term and also a mechanism for those who have kindly said they’d like a voluntary mechanism to donate each term and thereby safeguard future funding options.
