We have just completed our first term, some of us have returned back to pre-school and some of us are new starters! What an exciting time we have had building relationships with our key persons and making new friends. The children are exploring the environment and all the different activities that are in Pre-school.
This term the children are continuing to settle in and learn the routines at pre-school, enjoying being independent at snack time, washing up their own plate. The children learned about Halloween, they all took turns in groups to clean out the pumpkins and then discuss as a group what face they would like to carve on their pumpkin. We also looked at fireworks and the sounds that they make. We had a Percy Park Keeper themed stories, The Treasure Hunt and the children had to use clues to look for the missing treasure! We also had the story After the Storm and the children had to think about new homes for the woodland animals. We had a spotty day in pre-school raising money for children in need. This term we also started our small group visits with children to Whittington House Care home, which has been fantastic! The children rehearsed their Christmas nativity play and put on three amazing performances of "WHAT A STAR" and they all were. The children did a variety of Christmas craft, played different games and enjoyed party snack. Merry Christmas everyone.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
