Term 1

Week 1 10/9

In Pre-School for the first two weeks we are welcoming our new starters and also our returning children. The children will be settling into

Pre-School and exploring the area, learning our daily routines. The children will be building relationships with their assigned key person and other members of the team, also starting to build friendships with their peers.

We have been playing and exploring at Pre-School!

Week 2 17/9

This week we have welcomed more new friends to Pre-School and we have continued to learn all about our Behaviour Super Heroes (Please ask your child all about these). We have also continued to learn about settling  into our routines of the day, such as " stop, look and listen" when we get ready for welcome or tidy up time. Also being a snack helper, being independent washing our hands ready for snack and washing up our own snack plate. The children have also been learning to take round the five minute hand, telling our friends "five minutes left to play". All of these are features of our Pre-School daily routines, and the children enjoy carrying out these tasks!

Tidy Up Time!

At tidy up time or ending play, two children take a turn to take round the five minute hand and tell their friends, you have five minutes left to play.  After the five minutes a child will ring the bell and say, "Stop, Look, Listen", show me your hands, it is time to tidy up or time for welcome. Both silver and gold family choose different children to carry out these tasks which help give all the children a sense of achievement  and help build their confidence.
