This term we have continued to explore our Topic 'What a wonderful world'. We started the term by finding out about Bonfire night and explored the history behind the celebration. We were fascinated! We then learnt all about how Hindus celebrate Diwali. Our wonderful helper Mrs Patel shared her celebrations and we enjoyed trying on clothes and tasting some wonderful food.
We took a walk to St. Mark's Church to commemorate Remembrance Day and were met by the fabulous Mrs Selby! She came prepared with lots of activities to help the children learn about the different features of the church and a plateful of biscuits! The children even got to sit in the choir stalls and sing 'All things bright and beautiful', accompanied by John the amazing organist! It really was such a moving moment. Thank you to Mrs Selby and all of our friends at St. Mark's church for arranging such a brilliant visit!
We have begun to explore why we celebrate Christmas and have started to practice our fabulous play 'Mend the manger.' We can't wait to share it with you!
