Wow what a term... full of so many busy bee moments. Blue Class have developed and practised so many skills which involve lots of different curriculum areas.
We started Term 2 in style and absolutely loved the Warwick castle trip. This led into so many wonderful learning opportunities. Nick the knight's Dad arrived at school to tell us the Warwick jewels had been stolen so we created WANTED posters, built 3D traps, wrote letters to other royals and counted how many jewels were left (and of course we did that in 2s, 5s and 10s!) Blue Class were so inspired by the birds of prey show that we had a full day learning all about Birds of Prey. Did you know their claws are known as talons? Did you know eagles can live with up to 100 other friends?
Our learning then moved onto focussing on a wonderful story 'Hector and the Big Bad knight' we planned and wrote new adventures involving Hector, drew and painted dragons using pen and watercolours, measured Norman the chicken, wrote instructions on how to catch the knight and we even made dragons that had moving parts!
Movie magic was also a hit with Blue Class and we really enjoyed watching 'Despicable Me 3' in our pyjamas!
To end the term in full XMAS style we have been practising our Christmas Performance 'Starlight', have been creating programmes for the audience, have counted lots of snowflakes, used puppets to tell the Christmas story, made our own 3D Christmas cards and still have the Christmas ball next week!
What an AMAZING term Blue Class. You are superstars!
