It has been a very busy and very exciting first week back for Green Class, with lots of visitors and events going on. We started the week with our final multiskills session, learning how to jump in different ways. Tuesday afternoon was filled with kite making and flying – a great time had by all! J
On Thursday we continued our busy week with a day of Forest School and visiting the Space Dome. It sounds like they all had a brilliant day.
In Maths this week the children have been impressing everybody with how brilliant they are at telling the time! We have looked at o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to times as well as word problems involving time. Just amazing!
Of course, we have started preparing for our class performance. The performance takes place on Thursday 16th March at 9.15am. The children will be bringing home letters stating who they will be in the performance (mostly chosen by the children!) along with some ideas for costumes. Please be as creative as you like – we can’t wait to see them.
Next week in Green Class:
*Time (moving on to more difficult problems)
*Finding 1 more and 1 less than any given number
*Learning more about the solar system
*Exploring the artwork of Peter Thorpe
*Learning about Apollo 11
*More performance preparation!
