This Week in Yellow Class
This term we are learning through fairy tales and have started this week with Jack and the Beanstalk. We have been reading, writing, acting, story telling and will be starting to make up our own endings to stories today too.
Yesterday was Friendly Thursday where we get together with our friends in Orange Class to solve problems. We had to help Cheltenham hospital by coming up with ideas to get the giant better after he hurt himself falling from the beanstalk. As always, the children came up with fantastic ideas like using a giant wheelbarrow as a wheelchair, making giant get well cards, mixing medicine, measuring him, building a giant bed, making a giant x-ray machine, practising putting on bandages and recording get well messages and songs to entertain him while he gets better. As always, the children’s ideas blew us all away!
Mrs Pain loved learning all about the artist Guiseppe Arcimboldo with the children and they made some amazing portraits in his style - have a look at the photos! They are also on display outside the classroom.
We have started our exercising every day now the weather is a little warmer – running around the big school field twice and seeing if we can get faster each week. A great start and fantastic attitudes to this new challenge shown by all.
Have a lovely weekend
