What another fabulous week learning about the rainforest!
In English, we have been making posters and writing letters to tell everybody about deforestation. We learnt how to use different sentence types in our writing: statements, commands, exclamations and questions. We have also been getting better at using conjunctions to make our sentences longer.
In Maths we have been doubling and halving! Why not practice this at home? It’s a great skill to know off by heart especially with numbers to 20.
In Science we have been learning about food chains, we will be finishing this work off later today. We have also been classifying animals and the children have used their computer skills to make question trees.
Next week, we will be learning about what it might be like to parachute from a helicopter or hot air balloon. Be prepared for lots of learning about forces and gravity!
