Achieve, Believe, Care and Dream

Week 3

This week we have been learning about gravity!

We began the week learning about Sir Isaac Newton. The children found out a little bit about his life and made posters to explain why he is famous.

In Science, we have carried out tests to find out which objects fall the fastest and why. The children then made spinners and explained how they work using Scientific words, such as gravity and air resistance.

In English, we wrote explanation texts to explain how the spinners work. We have been getting better at using commas in a list, conjunctions and words with the –est suffix.

In Maths we have been partitioning numbers in different ways! Then we practiced our number bonds, found out about inverse and used this knowledge to solve missing number problems!

Next week, we will be learning about planes!

Thanks,

Mrs Masek, Mr Taylor and Mrs Wantling
