This week we flew to China and celebrated Chinese New Year. We have been doing lots of writing and Mrs Pain and Mrs Aitken are very impressed with how are skills are developing- well done lovely Yellow Class! At the beginning of the week we received a video message from the animals that were fed up with getting their feet wet crossing the river in the great race. The children designed and created some fabulous models- rocket packs, flying carpets, boats, planes, air balloons to name but a few! They are on display outside the classroom so do come and take a look!! We learnt all about the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree in Hong Kong and the children had a go at writing their own wishes that they threw high up into the branches of our trees in Forest School. At the end of the week the children made some fantastic Chinese Lions and made up their own Chinese Lion dances accompanied by our fantastic drummers who were able to keep the beat brilliantly. They were so good we had to share it with the whole school in assembly. Fantastic!
