The children have had such a lot of fun learning through the brilliant series of ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ stories this week.
They found a strange landing site full of strange green slime in the playground on Tuesday morning and carried out lots of different science experiments to find out about all about it and the best materials to protect us from any further slime!
We have been focusing on using big, clear voices this week to explain our thoughts and feelings in front of our friends and we have seen a real difference in confidence and have certainly heard some lovely ‘big’, ‘clear’ voices!!!!!
We have spent a lot of time working on our maths addition and subtraction problem solving skills. The children have practised recording their thinking and workings using pictures or numbers and they have loved all the different challenges!
It is such a pleasure to teach your children- their attitude to learning is just fantastic and every single child is always so excited to take on new challenges with their new catchphrase ‘come on Mrs Aitken, give us a challenge’.
Some of the pictures below show the children speaking to Mrs Pain in hospital last week.
Mrs Pain is much better now and will be popping in on Tuesday to see everyone and back teaching on Wednesday. Mrs Houser will be in on Monday, I will be in Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Mrs Pain will be in on Friday.
