This week Indigo Class have been very busy reading poetry all about aliens! Then the children created their own alien characters and followed a recipe very carefully to make them out of salt dough! We had a great scientific discussion about how you can change the shape of some solids by squeezing, twisting, poking and pinching! Once our alien shapes were formed we used various tools to add pattern and texture to our models.
Once they were dry the children added fine detail with paints, experimenting with brushes of different thickness and trying out lots of techniques.
Next week we will be...
* Playing more football, practising our passing and dribbling techniques
* Making rockets and launching them!
* Practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and using what we already know to solve division problems
