This Week in Yellow Class
This week we have been learning through the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. The children have been making maps, writing letters, helping Granny get better and writing lots of stories.
We have been focusing on number in maths, really challenging the children to solve problems that involve adding, subtracting, sharing, sequencing and problem solving. We are working hard on recording our problem solving – either in number sentences, by drawing pictures or using number lines. They have really embraced our challenges and stretched their brains!
In PE, as well as running our daily laps of the field which the children are embracing, we have been learning how to play tennis rounders. The children are developing their fielding tactics, racquet skills and most of all team work and supporting each other to do their best.
Your children do not ever fail to amaze us with their ‘have a go’ attitudes.
They are really very special.
Have a lovely weekend
