Another busy busy week for Miss Bilton, Mrs Lever and the poppets in Blue Class!
We have continued to focus on our class text 'Hector and the Big Bad Knght'. We have made story maps and started to practise re- telling the story. Jake modelled it to the class and was absolutely amazing...he remembered every part!
During Music we looked at the pictures from the book and imagined what sounds we would hear if we were in the story. We imagined what the sounds would be and Miss Bilton challenged us to use our bodies to create sounds before we then moved onto the instruments. We thought that in the 'terribly, tall tower' it would be a high sound so we used bells and xylophones to play that part. We decided that drums would fit well with the deep, dark wood that Hector went through on his travels. We had lots of fun!
In Geography, we have made maps about Hector and his travels. We are beginning to use a key to show each feature of the map. We joined in lots of class discussion and everyone was very engaged to make their map!
