Achieve, Believe, Care and Dream

Week 4

This week our learning is going to be mainly focussing on:

Writing descriptively

Fractions

Music - Rhythm and Beat

We started our rainy Monday off with something rather exciting! Our local PCSO, Tom came to visit us to talk to us all about Internet Safety. He told us a story about Smartie the Penguin and we talked about what to do if someone contacts us who we do not know. We also learnt a new song.....

Think, think, think before you click, click. click and tell someone!

We have also started to practise our Christmas Play - the songs are sounding great and the children are beginning to know some of the lines. Please keep practising at home!

On Tuesday, we had such a busy day. Dexter left us with an egg that he had hatched as he had to go to a Dragon Emergency. During the morning we made baby dragons from bottle tops, screws and marbles. We also wrote dragon descriptions, split the dragon food into equal parts, made dragon nests and told our own dragon stories. Our focus was to use adjectives which we now know are describing words.

As you can see we had such a busy Tuesday morning and then........our parents were invited in for the afternoon. We had a fantastic time creating our own dragons. We used paper plates, paper cups, split pins and sand.

Thank you to all of the parents and friends that were able to come. Miss Bilton has had some feedback that we may need to do one at the end of the week - so watch this space for next term!
