The MOST exciting thing was delivered to Blue Class this week... a letter from David Attenborough! He had heard that Blue Class have been learning all about habitats and the rainforest and asked if we could create a fact file for our rainforest animals or one of the animals we made up last week. We were so excited and we are even going to film the documentaries on the Learnpads!
We have written fact files to share with Sir David, helped Follo and Fig the fog sort real and nonsense words, built rainforest cars for Rainforest Randall using a range of materials and joins as well as measuring the distance the vehicles travelled.
The rainforest cafe has been in full swing and we are beginning to buy and sell items for different amounts. We have been adding the amounts together and recognising lots of different coins.
We have continued to develop our skills in Art, and have made our own Rousseau pictures this week using a variety of materials. Miss Bilton challenged us to have a frame, create a picture, take a photo and then talk about what our art work showed.
Perry the Parrot also wrote us a letter to say that he needs an outfit for the rainforest and his explorers. We have been designing outfits, talking about different body parts and suitable materials for an explorer.
Just a normal week in Blue Class really!
