Well the highlight of the week has to be the class performance! The children did such a fantastic job and we are SO proud of them all. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you all (again) for the wonderful costumes – they looked absolutely brilliant!
In between all of our performance excitement we have still managed to squeeze in a lot of learning to finish off our mini ‘Space’ topic. We have been designing, creating and describing our own planets. Some of the children took this even further by creating their own Solar System – impressive stuff!
In Maths we have been focusing on position, direction and movement. The children have practised giving directions focusing on forwards, backwards, left and right. We introduced whole, half and quarter turns and the children had a great time trying to direct their friends around the classroom and the outdoor area.
We have been using the LearnPads this week to learn about algorithms. The children have explored ‘LightBot’ where they have to give a robot a set of instructions to move around and light up different tiles.
Next week in Green Class:
