We had a fantastic trip to Birmingham Airport on Thursday. The children behaved absolutely brilliantly and found out so much. They spoke to lots of staff who help the airport run smoothly like the check in supervisors, the police, security guards and some of the Emirates Airline crew, asking some great questions.
Today back at school we turned our classroom into an airport. The children, as always used their knowledge and imaginations to build, shape, construct, write, count and weigh. We had aeroplanes, coaches, runways, flight simulators, check in desks, security scanners and so much more and all on a Friday morning.
At the end of the morning we were lucky enough to have a look at and try on a real helicopter pilot's helmet. Oliver's Grandad is a real rescue pilot and he was so kind to let us borrow it. Thank you.
Well done to all the children who received their bronze Mathletics certificate. Great job!
Have a great weekend and look forward to the last week of term where we will be finding out about the lovely Benhall area.
This week our Grandparents visited us in Reception and we found out about the Masai tribe. We created shields, necklaces and masks and then paraded around with them! Thank you for coming we loved learning new skills with you.
