Achieve, Believe, Care and Dream

Week 5

This week we have had some visitors to Yellow class some very hungry caterpillars. We have been tasked with looking after the baby caterpillars and  keeping them safe. We started the week by finding out what they ate and created tiny salads for them. We have also been making signs so people know how to look after them and  reading the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and comparing  fact and fiction. We painted and created the most AMAZING butterflies that have to be seen to be believed, so do pop in to take a  look. at the work the amazing Yellow class keep producing! WOW

Yesterday we had our first Benhall Reception Big Write of the year where we encourage the children to work inde[pendently to wow us with their writing. We talked a lot about being Purple Learners and how it would probably feel quite nerve racking at first, but just to have a go and do their best. Oh my goodness, they were all fantastic and made us so proud!
In our
Zippy’s friends sessions over the next few weeks we will be learning about friendship and what it means to be a good friend, have a good friend and make new friends.
Later
on this afternoon we will be cooking for our cake sale (at 2.30 today) - please come along and help Team Reception to raise the most money to fundraise for the incredible Red Nose Day in aid of Comic Relief.
Very exciting news - today we will be welcoming our new ‘fishy’ friends to our classroom. Pop in after school to say hi if you can.
Have a lovely weekend and Mother’s Day, Mrs Aitken, Mrs Pain and Miss Nugent xxx
