Achieve, Believe, Care and Dream

Week 6

Today a crime occurred in Yellow class, Mrs Pain's chair was stolen!!! Fortunately we had a visit from a very friendly ladybird that told us she knew of a similar event that had occurred and left us the story What the Ladybird Heard. We were thrilled and have been deeply involved all day making maps to help the police, phoning the police, writing notes for the police to name but a few things! Wow Yellow class you were fantastic purple learners.

This Week in Yellow Class
There have been some strange goings on this week – first Mrs Pain’s chair had gone missing and we had to try and find out what had happened, then Mr Taylor had been hidden by Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len and we had to find him and rescue him. We have been coming up with lots of ways to stop anything else going missing – we have made wanted posters (that are up all around the school), lists of how to be kind to help them change their ways, hand cuffs, police cars, prison cells, traps and even potions to help make them kind. What a lot of brilliant ideas and team work to get it all together to make sure that Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len do not get up to any more mischief.
The children have loved the story ‘What The Ladybird Heard’. They have been halving, counting and sorting in maths.
Our beautiful caterpillars are growing so fast and the children came up with some amazing questions about them – luckily our team of researchers found the answers to our questions using Google, with Miss Nugent and reported back – ask the children to tell you some of these fantastic facts.
Today we are having a very important visitor from the local police station to ask us if we can help with their Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len enquiries by writing police reports –I’m sure the children will be super helpful as always.
Have a lovely weekend

Next week we will be learning all about Easter – don’t forget our Family
Eggstravaganser on Thursday morning where we will be having lots of Easter fun!
