Dear Parents,
We have had another busy week at school. The children are continuing their learning and also enjoying the rehearsals for the Christingle Performance.
This week our teachers visited other local schools to look at writing. They shared planning ideas and looked at each other's books to moderate their teacher's judgements. All the feedback was that it was useful and that other schools were able to see just how many writing opportunities our children have in provision. It was also felt that our standards are high and we are ensuring any assessments we make are based on clear evidence in the children's work. The teachers also brought away ideas from other schools that may improve what we offer and we will be looking at these in the new year.
On Wednesday, we surprised Miss Bilton with a baby shower. Of course, she cried! Today is her last day before starting her maternity leave and we are certainly going to miss her. Her boundless energy, love for our children and commitment to the high standards we set ourselves is wonderful. We wish her and her family so much love and joy when their little girl arrives and we will share their news (hopefully with a picture!) before Christmas.
We wish you all a lovely weekend.
Love from Miss Morris and the team
