This term we are continuing to develop skills that will help us to be part of an amazing Year 1 team! We will be thinking about what purple learning means to us and how we can show this in all learning areas. Every week we will be talking about how important it is to always try our best, persevere when things seem tricky and be resilient to find solutions when things do not go as planned. We will talk openly about feedback and how this can be useful for us to progress our learning, encouraging each other along the way! To allow us to work as a team we will be continuing to learn to share our resources, be patient and take turns, value what others say and understand why we are all important members of Green Class.
In our classroom we will be completing lots of activities that will help us be more independent in our learning. We will be using 2D shapes to make shape owls, thinking about what makes us special, using mirrors accurately to create self-portraits, focusing on consistent and correct letter and number formation and snuggling with friends to share stories as well as creating our own with autumn animal puppets!
Our story focus this term will be Stickman, and we are looking forward to exploring our so stay alert and beware…! To keep up with our adventures you can read the Friday letter, check Tapestry and keep an eye on our classroom and displays.
